ARTICLE 31 - WAGES
Section 1. Effective July 1, 2004, pay for all ASEs not on a variable rate shall be increased over the 2003-2004 rate by 3 1/4%. ASEs on a variable rate shall receive an increase of at least 2 1/4% of their 2003-2004 rate.
Section 2. Effective July 1, 2005, all ASE pay rates shall be increased by 2%, or by the percentage increase available for merit based and across the board salary increases to all faculty, whichever is greater.

Section 4. ASEs shall be eligible to receive automatic pay increases in accordance with Article 14 (Job Titles & Classifications). Any such increases shall be in addition to the wage increases described above.
Section 5. The University will continue its existing practice with regard to Summer Quarter stipends, except that TA stipends during the summer will be 20% higher than during other quarters of the Academic Year. For Summer Quarter 2004, this increase will take effect July 1, 2004.
Section 6. Effective July 1, 2004, all Readers, Graders, and Tutors shall be paid at a minimum rate of $8.00 per hour or shall have their current pay rate increased by 3 1/4%, whichever is greater.
Section 7. The University shall establish a 403b program that is accessible to ASEs.
